Richelle Carey

Chief of Media Training

Richelle Carey is an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster known for her expertise in international affairs, global politics, and issues impacting working families. At Words Warriors, she is the chief of media training where she helps clients learn how to resonate with audiences onstage and on-camera.

Richelle has made her mark as a journalist, host, and moderator with a career that includes anchor roles at CNN, Al Jazeera, and HLN in Atlanta. Notably, she was a launch anchor at Al Jazeera America in New York and later moved to Doha, Qatar, leading coverage of major world events. She is a skilled moderator, hosting various events such as the Doha Forum, panels for the United Nations General Assembly, and the Essence Festival of Culture. Originally from Texas, Richelle graduated from Baylor University and began her career in Houston as an associate producer for KPRC television.

Outside of work, Carey enjoys life in Houston with her son and cheering on herhometown sports teams.
